Douglas County School District (DCSD) is pleased to offer a variety of career & technical programs to students in our high schools and at our newly built

TECH CENTERS across the county!  By participating in one of these programs, students will become workforce ready or may continue with post-secondary

education in a chosen career pathway.  Either way, students will have built a solid foundation for their future.  many of these programs will offer preparation

Who is eligible? What kind of credit can be earned?
  • High school juniors, and seniors, (unless   otherwise indicated) on track to graduate and interested in exploring career fields prior to graduation
  • Those who have the ability, aptitude and desire to explore high demand career fields

Depending on which program you choose, the possibility exists to earn credit, become eligible for certification or licensing beyond regular high school elective credit. You may be able to earn:

  • Dual Credit
  • College Ready
  • Articulated Credit
  • Certification
  • Certification of Completion
  • Licensing

The value of participating in a Career & Tech program while still in high school is that it affords you the opportunity to explore a career pathway at a minimal cost!  Some course may require an additional fee, while others may require you to purchase supplies/equipment that you will use through the duration of the course and beyond.
