Online Registration for the 2012-2013 School Year

Students have been given registration materials and are currently obtaining teacher signatures/recommendations for their 2012-2013 classes in preparation for online registration. Legend’s registration window is open from January 16th through January 23rd. Legend student advisors will verify that students have registered for the correct courses during the week of January 23rd.

  • Friday, January 27th – Hat Day: fundraiser for Freshmen class
  • Monday, January 30th – Color Day – dress in full color
  • Tuesday, January 31st – Snow vs Sand – girls dress for the winter; guys dress for the summer; announcements include dress code reminder/warning
  • Wednesday, February 1st – Fashion Disaster
  • Thursday, February 2nd – Mathletes vs. Athletes – girls dress like athletes; guys dress like geeks
  • Friday, February 3rd – Pink vs. Blue
  • Saturday, February 4th – Dance (theme-Candland), 8:00 – 11:00 pm in the Commons

Dress code for dance: no jeans of any color, no tennis shoes of any kind; boys - collared shirt, nice pants; girls - dress, skirt & blouse, or nice pants

DCSD Administrator Scholarship Program

The primary purpose of these scholarships is to assist students who might not otherwise be able to continue their education. Financial need and academic merit are key criteria used in selecting the scholarship recipients. These scholarships are for one year only (non-renewable) and may be used for any college or vocational program.

The completed appllication (click here) MUST be submitted to your AP/Advisor no later than Friday, February 24, 2012 at 3:00 p.m.

Used textbooks are available for some courses.  If you are interested in purchasing a used textbook please visit this link on our Moodle page.

Students must have textbooks for the first day of class on January 3rd.

2012 After Prom

Important message from the Legend After Prom Committee:

After Prom, which is hosted by Legend High School parents, provides a fun and safe alternative for our students to spend time with their friends after the prom. This year’s event is being held at Family Sports Center and we expect over 700 Legend High School students to participate. We need parent involvement to help raise over $10,000 to make this event a success. You can help by volunteering time, donating items, making a tax deductible donation or by participating in one of our fundraisers. Click below to complete a Legend After Prom donation form:

Counseling: Post Grad Information

Important information regarding college visits and testing workshops are available under the Counseling tab. Click on Post Graduate and Testing information for upcoming events. Please visit the Post Grad Moodle site by clicking on the Login button under Login to Moodle above then click the Login as guest button. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Counseling: Post-Graduate link.

The Help Your School program was initiatied by numerous parent groups throughout Douglas county School District as a way to help provide much-needed funds to offset the budget reductions that are having a direct impact on neighborhood schools. Legend will receive 100% of your donation, less the PayPal transaction fee, which is approximately 2.2%.
